You just got to love it—Susan Abbott over at the Customer Experience Crossroads is running a blogfest quest on cleaning up the ladiesrooms of the world! Public restrooms say plenty about someone’s business (think branding) and a destination (think tourism).
Long lines at conferences were a pet peeve of mine until I started using it to my advantage—as a networking opportunity! I met one of my alliance partners years ago while waiting in line during a Garage Technology Ventures Silicon Valley Bootcamp for Entrepreneurs (do you think Guy Kawasaki would consider this a badge of courage knowing that the Art of the Start for us began in the ladies loo?)
Another time I connected two women—one who needed a Program Manager and another who needed a job. I even met up with a woman who had attended one of my workshops months earlier and who turned into a personal PR rep while we waited for the line to thin out.
A bittersweet experience during a recent high-tech conference sparsely attended by female professionals was when I breezed into the lasses WC and noticed a long line for the lads…
